Join us as we listen to a news story about so-called linear rainbands, which are areas of intense rainfall caused by rows of dense rain clouds. In May, the Japan Meteorological Agency announced that it will begin issuing alerts when it predicts the occurrence of a linear rainband within 30 minutes.
